175 ALONE, "Chin-Chin-Wet," Warm Springs The Warm Springs people are a branch of the Sahaptin or Nez Perce nation, receiving their name from the thermal springs found on their homeland in Northern Oregon. Chin-Chin-Wet, accompanied her husband, Owl, an Indian scout, during the Modoc War of 1872-73.
