132 HOLLOW HORN BEAR, “Mato He Hlogeco,” Brule Sioux Chief (1850-1913)
A principle war leader during the Plains Wars of the 1860’s and victorious over Lt. Fetterman in 1866, Hollow Horn Bear, son of Chief Iron Shell, was also a respected orator. He is pictured on the 1922 14¢ postage stamp.
